It’s always hard to decide exactly when to launch a new site or blog. Some sites prefer to get everything perfect behind the scenes (sometimes even on a different URL, moving everything once all’s in place and tested.) Others just start up and work out the glitches as they go.
We decided on something in between for CatTipper. Last week we posted a “coming soon” page while we set up WordPress (using the same theme we use on DogTipper, but with a different color scheme.) We worked out some (but not all) the quirks that invariably arise but decided it was time to step out from behind the curtain and say hi.
While we won’t do a full launch for a few days when we announce the site with press releases and all, we decided that, like moving into a new home, it was set up good enough to invite over family and friends. We wanted to give all our buddies from DogTipper and from the pet blogging world a little sneak peek before we invite in the whole world. In the meantime, we’ll be making some changes and adding some final touches before our official launch.
We’ll be launching the site with a big party in just a few days (and prizes!) so stay tuned!
