We are experiencing a bed war in our home.
It began, like so many wars, with a minor incident. I brought a new bed in from our local Tuesday Morning store. (I’m their pet blogger; stay tuned for more on those goodies in future posts!)
All seemed simple enough. After all, we have numerous pet beds in the house. I think there’s at least one in every room.
Well, not so fast. Soon both Coco and Lucky decided that the new bed was theirs. Coco refused to sleep anywhere else. Lucky decided to sit immediately next to the bed, with his head on the edge.
When Coco finally vacated the bed, I decided perhaps it would be best for me to move it to a new position. I put an old bed in the place the new bed had occupied and put the new bed in what’s one of the favorite window perches in the house.
Lucky decided it was his chance to make a move. He got in the bed…and refused to get out. As in he wouldn’t go eat if it meant leaving the bed.
Tomorrow I’m heading back to the store…time for another bed!
