63552737Helping our purring pals who walk on the wild side picture a brighter future, Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats invites fans of felines to a one night only art installation which will showcase portraits of feral cats for a paws cause.

Taking place on National Feral Cat Day (October 16th) at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, California, Kitty Bungalow’s National Feral Cat Day art exhibition and reception will raise awareness about cat overpopulation in the Los Angeles area and educate the public about ways that they can play a part in helping to end the epidemic of kittens born on the streets.

Online Photo Contest

Animal lovers have the opportunity for their own creative cat image to be displayed in the gallery thanks to Kitty Bungalow’s Facebook photo contest. The top five photos chosen will have a place in the exhibition, and the grand prize winner will receive a basket of prizes retailed at $300.

Proud pet parents of formerly feral cats or kittens are also asked to bring in a photo of their furry family member to post on the interactive art installation, “The Other Side of Feral.”

Adorable Adoptables

Along with works of art, in the kitten enclosure attendees can also meet some of Kitty Bungalow’s meowing masterpieces who would be ‘picture perfect’ in the lives of loving pet parents.

Kitty Bungalow is an all-volunteer non-profit which helps feral cat colonies through trap/neuter/return (TNR) and finds forever homes for former feral cats and kittens who have been taught socialization skills.

When: October 16, 2013 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Where: Bergamot Station at 2525 Michigan Avenue in the Writer’s Boot Camp Building I in Santa Monica, California
