British Star Steve Miller Helps Cats Protection

A friend through thick and thin to the UK’s leading cat welfare charity, Steve Miller– the host of the TV series Fat Families— was one of four famous fans of felines who recently took part in Cats Protection’s I’m A Celebrity…Let Me Volunteer! campaign.

Hoping to gain helpers during a week-long salute to the more than 7,000 kind souls who offer care and comfort to the 215,000 cats and kittens in Cats Protection’s care each year, the cat welfare charity initiated promotional visits at various branches from pop culture icon Samantha Fox, How Clean is Your House? star Kim Woodburn, rock legend Rick Wakeman and Miller, who volunteered at the Stourbridge and District Cats Protection.

A Poppa to three purring pals named Blaxxy, Minnie and Jack, the TV presenter quickly became friends with Socks, Cookie and Tiger, the felines at a home of a cat foster as he cleaned their catios, fed them and even tackled the weighty issue of Tiger’s filled-out frame with a little exercise.

The motivational trainer’s stay at Stourbridge and District Cats Protection motivated Miller’s continued volunteer efforts at the branch’s charity shop. Located at 27 Lower High Street, the store offers a wide range of bargains for philanthropic shoppers.

“I’m really happy to have helped Cats Protection as it’s such a worthy cause.” Steve Miller stated. “Saving cats from uncertain futures and giving them a second chance is so important and doing my bit to help makes me feel very proud.”
