Fans of felines are positively purring over the news that Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba will receive the first annual Cats in White Spats Award for her dedication to animal rescue and adoption at the second annual CATS for Cats event, making the all-star benefit concert an even more “Memory”-filled evening.
Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats— a non-profit which rescues, neuters, socializes and finds homes for feral felines while providing outreach, education and Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) services– will recognize the charismatic choreographer/multi-pet parent’s many contributions to animal welfare, including her Petsami.com cat adoption web series, Crib Cat.
“Helping homeless animals is something I just can’t NOT do,” says Inaba, discussing the event’s importance. “I am honored to be a part of this cause and that I am able to help shed light on the need of open hearts, and open homes, for these helpless loving animals. I’m proud to be working in the trenches with organizations like Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats making a difference for the future.”
The award presentation will kick off the concert benefit at Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on July 14th. Event tickets VIP after party tickets and VIP ticket packages for CATS for Cats, a T.S. Eliot-themed evening which will include ‘purr’formances by such stars as Fred Willard (Best in Show); Bethany Joy Lenz (The CW’s One Tree Hill); Owain Yeoman (from the CBS series The Mentalist); Todd Lowe (True Blood) and others, are currently available starting at $50. A portion of ticket purchases are tax deductible, and 100% of all funds raised will provide supportive financial resources to Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats.
