Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Internet Cat Video Festival in Minneapolis! As a guest of Nutrish for Cats, I went to Minneapolis to attend what must be one of the largest events for cat lovers in the country. I wanted to bring you photos of all the fun from this year’s event!

Prior posts of ours about this year’s Internet Cat Video Festival have included:

  • video nominations for the festival
  • public voting on the Golden Kitty Award
  • the event announcement
  • the winner of the Golden Kitty Award
  • and even our giveaway for this year’s #CatVidFest official t-shirt! (Open until 8/28!)

But the videos, of course, were just part of the fun. Many people came in costume…

…while others “catified” themselves on site with fun at the Nutrish and Animalist booth:

Nutrish also had fun “speech bubbles” for cat lovers to complete about their furry family members. Our friend and fellow blogger and author Angie of Catladyland, Texts from Mittens, and Whiskerslist gets in on the fun with her husband, John:

Animalist was busy making fun videos for their channel as well, interviewing cats…

…and cat experts like Joanne, zoologist and author of The Tiniest Tiger and Conservation Cub Club

The event also included adoptable pets like this seven-week-old pup who decided to curl up in a red box and take a nap!

The festival was held out on the Open Field at Walker Art Center, a great venue…

Early arrivals enjoyed sharing cat poetry…

…while others strolled the field and enjoyed the pleasant evening before the film began.

As the evening grew dark, though, it was soon time for the show! On the giant screen, the video reel began…

The evening included many well-known faces, with an appearance by Lil BUB as well as Will Braden, creator of the Henri Le Chat Noir videos and recipient of the first Golden Kitty (People’s Choice) Award.

The event was a great time shared with thousands of cat lovers!
