During the dog days of summer, one night will be reserved for the celebration of cool kitties as FixNation invites cat enthusiasts to a fundraiser that will help to bring about the dawn of a new day for stray and feral felines.

On July 25th, actress Morgan Fairchild, who is known by fans of classic TV for her performances in prime time soaps like Falcon Crest and Flamingo Road as well as for her stints on hit series like Friends, will act as the host of Whiskers in the Moonlight. This music event is complete with special celebrity guests, VIP gift bags, an open gallery at the Autry Museum, tasty vegan and vegetarian fare, a cash bar and a soundtrack for the soiree by:

  • Carl Verheyen, a member of the iconic rock band Supertramp who has been called one of the top 100 guitarists of all time.
  • Country/pop singer/songwriter Eileen Carey, who has put a song in the hearts of her feline-loving fans not only through her music, but also by personally caring for companion animals in need.
  • Country music band The Podunk Poets.

By congregating at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles, the virtual clowder of cat lovers in attendance will help to raise both funds for, and awareness of, FixNation’s ongoing efforts to help community cats in the Los Angeles area.

Established in 2007, FixNation is the world’s largest spay/neuter clinic for stray and feral cats, able to sterilize as many as 100 cats in a day. Along with providing sterilization services for cats without homes, the non-profit organization also offers low-cost spay/neuter services for our purring pals who have pet parents, loans humane traps and equipment to concerned citizens for free, provides TNR (trap/neuter/release) training and information regarding the continuing care of feral cat colonies, and helps humane pet stores and rescue groups find forever families for homeless felines to love.

Tickets: $40 general admission, $125 VIP admission

When: July 25, 2015 from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Where: The Autry in Griffith Park, located at 4700 Western Heritage Way in Los Angeles, California
