CatTipper Review: Our dogs have two big toys about the size of softballs that make bird sounds whenever they’re picked up. The cats always perk up when they hear those sounds…so we had the feeling they’d appreciate the Petstages Pretty Bird Wobble Cage.
This cat-sized toy is an egg-shaped bird cage with a little bird…and some bird feathers…inside. The toy wobbles as your cat bats it and it even has motion-activated chirping! (There’s an on-off switch so you don’t have to wake up at night to bird chirping when you cat decides it’s play time.) The toy is one in the “Playing” line of developmental toys from Petstages. You’ll also find Nighttime, Energizing, Soothing, Dental, Scratching, and Feeding.
We decided to put it to the test with Felix and Linus, our two 11-year-olds. We first sat it in front of Felix, who was instantly interested in the feathers…
As soon as Felix tapped the toy, though, the chirping started and Linus was ready for some fun. Felix batted the Pretty Bird and it wobbled over to Linus…
Then suddenly, there was a new contender for the love of Pretty Bird…our dog Irie! She came through the office, picked up the toy, and headed out before the cats knew what was happening…
Pretty Bird was rescued and now lives in the new catio! We hear it tweeting away when the cats are out there.
A big paws up for the Pretty Bird Wobble Cage!
