Review: Salvador Kitti

With a tagline of “Eat, Paint, Meow”™, we knew we had to check out Salvador Kitti. This Atlanta-based company features the artwork of Amy Pugh-Campos and celebrates pets and wildlife alike.

According to Pugh-Campos, “The name of my company is very unusual but dear to me in many ways.  My husband found a pregnant stray cat at work one night and brought her home.  She gave birth to five kittens in my art studio with me by her side the whole nine hours. Kitten number two was special from the beginning.  We named him Salvador, after one of my favorite painters, Salvador Dali.  He was the first of the litter to walk, eat, open his eyes and notice my paintings.  He would walk over to them and sit and stare, like he was studying them. Soon Salvador became a painter.  He puts his paws into my paint and walks on canvas. How could I not name my art company after him?  Thus, Salvador Kitti was born.”

We received a cosmetics bag with the image of “Salvador’s Reflection” (above). The image, taken from the artist’s original oil painting, is beautiful printed on the water-resistant microfiber and features foam padding, polyester lining, and two interior slip pockets. The bag also features a heart-shaped zipper pull.

Along with cosmetics bags, Salvador Kitti also features key cases, change purses, wristlets, handbags, messenger bags and more. And besides pets, you’ll also find many artistic accessories featuring wildlife, from tigers to dolphins.

The green company donates a percentage of all sales to wildlife conservation.

Salvador Kitti makes a great gift for yourself or another nature lover!
