Lucky Cat Names

Share with fellow cat lovers!

There’s no question that if you’re adopting a cat, you’re the lucky one! You may want to consider lucky cat names as a way to remind yourself of your good fortune every time you call out to your furry family member.

We’ve been lucky with every one of our cat adoptions but in 2014 we got really lucky–and adopted a cat we named Lucky:

our cat named Lucky

Why did we choose the name Lucky? We adopted Lucky after the loss of our dear Felix, a former feral who stole our hearts.

Felix also means “lucky” so we couldn’t think of any better way to honor his memory than to name our new kitten Lucky!

Which Names are the Luckiest? A Psychic’s Top Choices

Britain’s Onlinecasinos.co.uk and psychic expert Inbaal Honigman selected the top baby names associated with luck–will one of them be lucky for your fur baby?

Rafael was selected as the most desired baby name associated with luck. Rafael has biblical connotations, being the name of the angel of healing.

“Rafael is a lucky name, venerated for generations,” explains the psychic. “It’s a wonderful name to pick for a life of healthy living, healthy relationships and healthy decision-making.”

In second place is Victoria, meaning ‘victory’ in English. “Victoria is not subtle about its blessings. Sharing a name with the Roman Goddess of Victory, Victoria draws luck in the field of winning. Victoria spends her life walking into challenges, only to walk out holding the winner’s cup.”

Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess, holds the third spot. “Lakshmi is a Goddess of abundance and good fortune. As Goddess of luck, sharing her name will inevitably bring luck. The name can be used both for baby boys and baby girls.

In fourth place is Felix. From James Bond characters to famous UK cat foods, the traditionally lucky name of Felix is always popular! According to Inbaal, “Felix literally means luck or happiness and the word felicitations, meaning good wishes, remains from the same Latin origins of the name. A moniker that means luck, clearly brings luck.”

Finally, in fifth place is the historical name of Beatrice. Royal connections boosts the popularity of the name hugely. Inbaal notes, “The name Beatrice, originally Latin as Beatrix, means blessed. Associating a name with blessings can have no downsides, the bearer of this title is blessed, and will also bless others.”
