Looking for California cat cafes? While San Diego consistently ranks among the most popular dog-friendly cities in the United States, San Diego County is also friendly to felines, with Cat & Craft Cat Cafe in Vista welcomes those who adore our pals who purr.
Here’s the scoop on the San Diego area’s second cat cafe, and the first in its North County region:
The 411 for Foodies
Along with the chance to meet an array of up to 15 adorable adoptables who are enjoying a taste of the good life in their own special kitty quarters, in the separate dining area of the 1,500-square-foot cat cafe (which is owned and operated by multi-cat pet parents Andrew and Caroline Vaught) customers can feast their eyes on a plethora of tasty pastries and desserts in the bakery case.
The menu also offers a quiche of the day and several toast plates (made with local ingredients), which can be washed down with any one of an array of craft coffees, including cappuccinos, lattes and mochas.
The Cats of Cat & Craft Cat Cafe
For a fee, fans of felines can spend 60 minutes in the presence of adoptable purring perfection as they lounge in the cafe’s spacious 800-foot kitty quarters (an area beautified with a mewral created by artist Carly Ealey).
Hoping to find their fur-ever family during their stay at the cafe all of the cats are in the care of Love Your Feral Felines (LYFF), an all-volunteer non-profit which, in 2018 alone, helped to save the lives of 1,039 cats who were in crises.
Fun with Felines
Patrons can purrfect their Downward Dog and Cat/Cow Pose with help from some kitty companions during a yoga with cats session, which is just one of the special feline-themed events in store for the future of the cat cafe.

Located at 3211 Business Park Drive, Suite 3B in Vista, California (just a short drive from Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Escondido and Encinitas), fans of felines can spend time with adoptables in the cafe’s cat lounge, while foodies can peruse the Cat & Cafe menu daily.
