Washington D.C. is the natural habitat of the political animal, and while ‘donkeys’ and ‘elephants’ may dominate the landscape, kitties who hope to be feline frontrunners in the race to win hearts will soon appear on the scene as the District of Columbia’s first cat cafe opens its doors in the historic neighborhood of Georgetown.
Following a week filled with sold out pre-grand opening celebrations, June 20th marks the debut of Crumbs & Whiskers, a place where those with an appreciation for pastry, percolating coffee and our purring pals can mingle with fellow devotees of the divine feline in one room and meet adorable adoptables from the Washington Humane Society in the eatery’s separate kitty quarters.
Crumbs & Whiskers is located at 3211 O St. NW in Georgetown.
